Treetops,
Green and purple dusted,
Brush the morning sky
exploring my world, one park at a time

Treetops,
Green and purple dusted,
Brush the morning sky

April sunrise,
Summer warm,
Morning serenade

Sunshine,
Flocks of birds,
Chicken slowly smoking,
Beautiful Easter morning

A day as beautiful as it looks from the window, it’s finally warm enough to sit on the swing and try to coax the wildlife in. The squirrels are barely even interested in me. The birds flit in and out and wildly chorus from the edges and the treetops.

So bright,
To be so cold,
Sunshine glows,
On a woodpecker’s crest,
As he flits just out of camera range

Icy breezes,
Just missed frosting,
Delicate April blossoms

Shivering Daisies,
Pulled inside,
Huddling birds,
Scrambling at fresh seed,
Creeping grasp of a wintery night,
Fighting for one more stand

Explosive birdsong,
Coaxing the sun,
Into wispy candy coated clouds

The towering overhead trees are harsh and skeletal still, but greening brush peeks through the slats in the promise of the quickly blossoming trees.

Sunshine Sunday,
Clear and bright,
Celebration after the storms
